Juba, June 1, 2012 (SSNA) -- The Director General of Taxation, Ayom Mach Jok, reminds all businesses of their obligations to register with the national Directorate of Taxation. Registration is required even though a business has already registered with the Ministry of Justice. It is easy and there is no fee required to register.
In order to register, the applicant must complete Form 17-1 which can be obtained from any Directorate of Taxation branch office or downloaded from the Directorate of Taxation web-site. http://tinyurl.com/RSS-Taxation
All businesses are reminded that there are penalties that can be applied if a business fails to register with the Directorate of Taxation, up to and including imprisonment in severe cases.
